Women Called Moses Coalition And Outreach Inc

Women Called Moses uses an innovative model to help underserved families fleeing violence -- it uses hotel rooms as safe havens and a mobile case management system. This brings the resources families need to where families feel most safe. Women Called Moses has been an SBIA social impact partner since August 2019 and has worked with three portfolio companies which will remain anonymous to protect the families.

$100,000 provides 1000 nights of safe shelter for families in need.

Our vision is a world where every woman's right to equality and freedom from violence is unquestioned.
Our aims are to:
- Empower women who have been affected by domestic abuse to live independent lives free from fear and abuse
- Keep the voice of the survivor at the heart of everything we do
- Meet the needs of women and children affected by domestic abuse
- Provide services run by women that are based on listening to survivors and responding to what they define as their needs
- Challenge and highlight the disadvantages which result from domestic abuse
- Support and reflect diversity and promote equality of opportunity
- Promote cohesive inter-agency responses to domestic abuse and develop partnerships to work towards a society in which domestic abuse is no longer tolerated

Plan International UK is a global children's charity. We strive to advance children's rights and equality for girls all over the world. We work to give every child the same chance in life by giving children and their communities access to education, healthcare, clean water and more. And if disaster strikes we are there to protect children to keep them learning and help them recover.

REFUGE

Refuge provides specialist support to women and children escaping domestic violence, modern slavery, human trafficking, forced prostitution, rape, forced marriage and 'honour' based violence. Services include: 24-hr national helpline, women's refuges, outreach and floating support, independent domestic and sexual violence advocates. We raise awareness and influence policy and legislative change.
